We believe that contractors should be more than just builders. As part of a uniquely flexible, tailored delivery model we add strategic value when and where it’s needed.

We engage early to help our clients anticipate risk and identify opportunities. We work collaboratively to drive performance. We partner with our clients to help them achieve their aspirations and maximise the whole-life value of their project.

Employees participate in life-changing Average2Awesome programme

Our Nottingham team are the latest team to complete the Average2Awesome (A2A) programme – a three-month life-changing employee health and fitness programme which Stepnell has been rolling out across its regional offices. Leading performance coach Rory Coleman, who has completed more than 1,000 marathons, was brought in to work with employees, helping them to boost their fitness levels and confidence.

Staff taking part in the programme had to commit to following a 12-week calorie-restricted diet and exercise programme incorporating a weekly 100,000-step challenge which helped them lose weight and transformed their attitudes to exercise. The A2A programme has proved transformational for our teams with astonishing results.

John Neill takes Gold at Construction Manager of the Year Awards

John’s excellent work on the widely-acclaimed Remembrance Centre at the National Memorial Arboretum in Staffordshire saw him win the Public Infrastructure & Healthcare category of the awards which are organised by the Chartered Institute of Building. John is based at Stepnell’s national head office in Lawford Road, Rugby.

John received his award presented by BBC Breakfast’s Steph McGovern, at London’s Grosvenor House Hotel where he was one of only nine gold medal winners out of 85 finalists from across the UK. The RIBA (Royal Institute of British Architects) award-winning £10.1 million Remembrance Centre, which opened in October 2016, provides enhanced and expanded facilities for the growing number of visitors to the Arboretum, the UK’s national focus for remembrance.
