An exciting new development to enable the further expansion of the Travis Perkins Group within the Leicestershire area.

The new steel framed clad units, completed to programme, accommodates a trade-only kitchen joinery business and a builders’ merchant for the display, sale and storage of building, timber and plumbing supplies, plant and tool hire including outside display and storage.

The edge of the site runs directly along a canal. Great care was taken throughout to protect the canal wall and embankment. This included carrying out vibration monitoring during the piling and foundation works.

In order to reduce the programme of the build, pre-cast concrete retaining wall units with diaphragm wall capping was utilised, enabling vibro compaction to commence early.
