Wheatley Campus Consolidation Works

Oxford Brookes University

The delivery of consolidation works at the University’s Wheatley Campus, awarded under a Framework Agreement

This consolidation project has been designed to maintain and attract students to the university, ahead of the planned campus closure in five years’ time.

Our works comprised the refurbishment of a multi-building campus, with upgrades in a number of areas across several buildings. This included reconfiguration of class spaces with additional power and data, creation of new Comms rooms, a new gym, new floor finishes and redecoration.

The works were carried out on a live campus, with the significant part required to be complete for the start of the new student term in September 2017.

Stepnell had to work very closely with the Architect, as well as the Client and his Space Planning team, to ensure that the client’s brief was met.
