Converting an existing office block into 105 residential apartments in Leicester City Centre

Our works comprise the conversion of an existing office block into 105 apartments, including demolition, structural alterations, drainage, window replacement, partitions, mechanical and electrical services, internal finishes and associated external works.

The 52,673 sq ft building was built in the 1970s on the site of an old newspaper printing works and hosiery in Wellington Street.

Challenges during the refurbishment included; extremely tight access, narrow roads and difficult vehicles access due to the city centre location.

A planning application has been submitted for an additional 12 new-build units to be constructed on the roof and in the courtyard increasing the overall size of the development to 117 units.
