The delivery of new spacious holiday lodges, delivered sensitively without disturbing guests or disrupting day-to-day village operations

Nestled in 365 acres of natural forest, Center Parcs Woburn Forest is one of five UK villages and is just an hour away from London.

Stepnell were appointed to deliver this £9.1 million project for the construction of 57 single storey timber framed lodges comprising a mix of two, three and four bedroom lodges on a sloped forest clearing to the north of the development, west of the Village Square. The development, which was completed in September 2017, saw Stepnell deliver 15 of Center Parcs’ well-known open plan Woodland Lodges, and 42 of Center Parcs’ Executive Lodges at Woburn Forest.

Designed by Jackson Design Associates, the lodges were constructed from timber and stone cladding, in keeping with the character of the village’s surrounding 643 lodges.

The holiday village, roads and footpaths remained open to guests throughout the duration of our works necessitating in the implementation of strict health and safety operational controls and security measures.

Following the success of this project, Stepnell were delighted to be awarded a second project by Center Parcs for the construction of 28 luxury Executive Lodges at Center Parcs Sherwood Forest. The new £6.3 million scheme has seen the delivery of 22 three bedroom and 5 four bedroom two storey duplexes, with some featuring hot tubs and saunas, as well as one six bedroom lodge. The new holiday homes were constructed at three separate locations, with works including the creation of new roads and services, as well as a new car park.
