Progress at the NAMRC project continues at pace
With the pad foundations now complete and the precast lift pit and shaft installed. The senior team visited site last week and witnessed the steel frame erection, which is now entering its second week of install.
The ground improvement solution that consisted of a combination of cement stabilisation and the installation of 900 plus rigid inclusion piles has been completed with a massive environmental benefit, that resulted in over 10,000m3 of subsoil being prevented from going to local landfill.
This solution has been used towards the sites social value calculations under the item ‘Resource efficiency and circular economy solutions are promoted’ and to date has generated £151,007.69 worth of social value!
The site is targeting 27% social return on investment with recent activities including a Meet the Buyer event at Pride Park and a volunteering day at a local woods for team members on the 5th July.
