Collaborative Risk Management
Managing both project and supply chain risk is a key goal for the Stepnell team. Project risks are identified on a widely distributed and discussed risk matrix, which identifies persons responsible for managing and owning the risk. Supply chain risks are identified by the individual organizations within their cost documents so that we and they can put in place measures to manage these risks.
At The Minster Stepnell and various key suppliers are involved in a new NVQ offered by Wolverhampton University on “Business Improvement Techniques”. This hands-on training course trains delegates in the principles and use of LEAN techniques within construction. This training, coupled with Stepnell’s previous experience with CLIP will be used to effectively manage supply chain risk through collaborative risk management.
