Early Contractor Involvement
Stepnell had been aware of this project for over two years before the tender documentation was issued. During this time we have assembled the best team, identified key strategies and discussed solutions to problems with key client staff. Prior to the tender Stepnell also involved the principal designers to advise and debate the various alternatives.
During the tender Stepnell paid at risk those members of the supply chain whose principal commodity is intellectual property and agreed a partnership with those who deliver or install product. This ensured that the designers had the freedom to work with the client and explore details that would otherwise have been left unresolved whilst having specialist subcontractors to check ideas and costs against. This ensured a deliverable, costed solution at tender.
