STEPNELL Building and Civil Engineering

Stepnell recently completed this new design and build 900 student High School project on a green field site. The building was designed for full community use and included exceptionally low energy consumption and the use of materials from sustainable sources and renewable energies.

This new BSF Pathfinder secondary school, constructed in a restricted site between the existing occupied college and the sports areas was awarded to Stepnell Ltd in 2008.

Stepnell were involved in this scheme under the Oxfordshire County Council Partnering Framework where Stepnell were employed as partnering contractor in the construction of a new primary school on a contaminated site to replace the existing Dashwood School.

This scheme was carried out under the Oxford County Council Partnering Framework where Stepnell were employed as partnering contractor to provide a new two and single storey science block extension linked to an existing steel frame building.

A two storey concrete framed extension to provide accommodation for the university department of film and television studies. Comprising offices, screening rooms, projection facilities, a seminar room and archive centre.

Interior and exterior refurbishment of the main atrium area of the science schools building. Including installation of 3 storey steel framed structure within the atrium, to house teachers study pods.

This project consists principally of the refurbishment of an existing teaching facility to provide small Innovation business units and the construction of a three storey extension providing new lifts, staircase and plant areas.
