JCT1998 with Contractors Design
The design and construction of a new 400m² crematorium as part of a long term partnering arrangement. It was the first new crematorium in the UK to be fitted with mercury abatement for the cremators as required to meet the latest EU Emission Standards. Contract works included landscaping and the creation of a Memorial Garden.
Stepnell is fully aware of the need for the utmost sensitivity and respect when working in and around a functioning Crematorium and or Cemetery.
The loss of a loved one is one of the most traumatic experiences in life and it is a matter of basic human decency to ensure that any construction work does not interfere or acerbate the grieving process.
These projects require a high level of finish, and Stepnell’s joinery shop are capable of producing bespoke work to the necessary standard on similar projects.
