Browning Court, Bourne, is a development of 45 Very Sheltered apartments specifically designed and built to meet the needs of the elderly while maintaining their independence. Stepnell has used past experience and feedback form existing Courts to improve the design to meet the demands for retirement living.
Each apartment has been design for complete independence and owners have their own front door, bedroom, lounge, large bathroom and fully fitted kitchen. Support is offered through a team based at Browning Court with someone at the court all day, every day. The duty manager can easily be reached through a warden call system installed in every room in every apartment.
Other features include motorised buggy charging; electrically operated windows; high quality communal areas including a residents lounge and hobbies room; a dining room and commercial kitchen offering a three course meal once a day, every day; a laundry and a guest suite that the residents can hire for a night for their guests.
Stepnell has been able to ensure a high quality of workmanship throughout the built to ensure that long term liabilities are managed and defects minimised.
